A carpenter by trade, I started woodworking in 2011 in my spare time, studying under John Diorities at the VWA. I aim to create functional pieces that highlight the grain, colour and figure of the timbers I use.

At the last VWA exhibition in 2012, I exhibited a hall table. Since then, I have made a variety of pieces for friends including a coffee table and a Japanese style shoji screen. I have recently completed a light fitting for a Port Melbourne wine bar, and a label applicator for a boutique Melbourne coffee brewer.

In 2014 i will have two pieces on display at the exhibition “Create from a Crate” both these pieces are made almost entirely from disused shipping pallet.

The Pallets upon arrival, later to be turned into a stool and a lamp.
